Benefits Designed to Take Care of You and Your Family

At Syracuse Community Health, we’re in the business of taking care of people. That’s why we’ve built a benefits package designed to take good care of our employees and their families.

Why Syracuse Community Health?

Diversity

We’re passionate about building a team that reflects our patient base. But having a diverse workforce isn’t enough. Our equitable and inclusive work culture gives everyone who works here the chance to grow and thrive.

Community

We’re dedicated to helping our employees grow through personal and professional skills development and opportunities to engage deeply with our community. That’s because we know how important it is for community-owned health centers to grow their own people and build up their communities. Whether that means speaking at local high schools or building relationships with community-based organizations, we support our employees in their outreach to the local community.

Balance

At Syracuse Community Health, we know our employees give a lot to care for our patients. That’s why we’ve made balance an important part of our workplace culture. We know that family, home life and personal pursuits are essential to a well-balanced life. Because we’re a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), our employees get some of the advantages of working for a large organization with competitive benefits and pay, but they also get the feel of a smaller, family-focused community health center. That’s one of the reasons our employees stay with us so long.

Career Development

Caring for your community shouldn’t come at a cost to you. We believe those who want to serve others should not have to sacrifice financially or in terms of their career development. We offer continuing medical education benefits for our providers, plus additional incentives to help you grow in your career.

Syracuse Community Health is a NHSC-approved site.

We are an NHSC-approved site in Syracuse. That means our team members may qualify for NHSC loan repayment grants, and we help NHSC scholars fulfill NHSC student-to-service programs.

We also help Nurse Corps Scholarship Program recipients fulfill their service requirements. Plus, our status as a Federally Qualified Health Center means that malpractice insurance is also covered for our practitioners.

Taking Care of You and Your Family

You work hard to take care of our patients and their families. It’s important to us that you and your family are supported.

Health

We know how important good health coverage is, which is why we provide competitive benefits that include dental and vision. We also make an annual deposit into your Health Savings Account to help offset the costs of your co-pays.

Retirement Planning

We want to help you plan for the future, which is why we offer an employer match on your 401(a) company-funded profit-sharing plan.

Paid Time Off and Leave

Vacation is important, and everyone deserves paid time off to enjoy the good things in life. In addition to PTO and holidays, our employees get paid family leave and disability benefits when they need them.
